Ladybird Books Rock
If you don’t know about these little masterpieces of form meets function you have been missing out.
They were published in Britain from the early to middle part of the last century and cover topics in science, nature, history, travel, hobbies and much more. They are some of the best nonfiction children’s books ever published. Packed with information and great illustration, pocket-sized and encyclopedic they are the dream series for any little nerdlet, myself VERY MUCH included.
Are they dated? Yes, but that does NOT take away from their awesomeness AT ALL.
If you see one at a library lawn sale or used bookstore somewhere in your travels this summer, grab it. You will not be disappointed.
If you do regret the 50 cent outlay send it to me, I’ll gladly pay postage even if I already have it.
You can NEVER have too much HAPPY in your Life.
For the International Set, there is a Ladybird art and design exhibit at the De La Warr Pavilion at Bexhill on Sea finishing up on May 10th. I know it’s a two hour trip south out of Victoria Station, but I would do it in a heartbeat.
